LG launched the first smartphone of its all new ‘V’ series called LG V10. It comes with some interesting features like Second Screen, Dual Front cameras and Manual Video Mode. The phone will be available in Korea starting this month itself followed by United States, China and key countries in Asia, Latin America and the Middle East. As of now LG has not announced anything about its Pricing but the revealed the colors of V10 that includes Modern Beige, Ocean Blue, Opal Blue, Luxe White and Space Black.
LG V10 comes out of the box running Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system. It sports a 5.7 inch Quad HD In-cell Touch Quantum display offering 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution with 513 ppi pixel density. There is also a “Second screen” placed just above the main display. This is a 2.1 inch IPS Quantum Display offering 160 x 1040 pixels resolution at 513 ppi pixel density. This a sort of unique display introduced first time in LG smartphone which remains always on (optional) but never effect the battery. This keeps you updated with every notifications when the screen is turned off and can also be used for favorite apps shortcut.
Coming to the processing power, LG V10 is powered with 4GB LPDDR3 RAM along with 1.8 GHz hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor and Adreno 418 GPU that makes the phone better not only in performance or multitasking but also in HD Gaming. LG made sure users dont even need to worry about storage by providing built-in 64GB storage memory that can be expanded upto 2TB using microSD card. The phone also seems great in connectivity supporting 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, NFC and Slim Port.
Camera department is yet another where LG has shown their expertise with LG V10. We get a Dual camera at front facing which is 5 Megapixel Dual Lens with 80 degree Standard Angle and 120 degree Wide Angle. You can read the detailed features of this camera in the provided Hands-On, but in short, you can not get better selfie or better Groupie Selfie with any other smartphone, compared to LG V10. While at the rear facing we get a 16 Megapixel shooter with OIS 2.0, F1.8 aperture, LED Flash and Laser AF. Surely it provides you stunning pictures but also brings amazing features when it comes to Video recording.
With LG V10 you can not only record Ultra HD 4K videos but this also the first smartphone to bring Manual Video Mode. Just like we control picture quality in LG G4 manually, in V10 we can also have control over shutter speed, frame rate, ISO, white balance and focus while recording videos. Furthermore, just below the rear camera, we get a Fingerprint sensor that not only unlocks the phone but also turns on the display simultaneously. LG V10 is running on 3,000mAh removable battery with Quick Charge 2.0 that charges up the phone upto 50 percent in just 40 minutes.
