Microsoft is preparing for the release of Windows 10 on 29th July, but at the same time, it seems like they are getting ready with two new Lumia Smartphones as well. They are Microsoft Lumia 940 and 940 XL. As of now there are number of rumors and leaks doing rounds of these two devices.
As per the latest rumors from trusted sources, the smartphones will be packed by a polycarbonate body and will feature Iris Scanner technology, for verification and security purposes. Both the devices Microsoft Lumia 940 and 940 XL, have many features in common, 20 megapixel rear camera with Triple LED flash light for high quality pics even in low light areas and 5 megapixel front camera. Windows 10 OS for Smartphones is set to debut with both these devices.
Let’s take a look about the features of both smartphones. Starting with Microsoft Lumia 940, it will feature a 5.2 inch full HD display of resolution 1080 x 1920 pixels and pixel density of 421 pixels per inch. It will boost a powerful hexa-core CPU with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chipset clubbed with 3GB RAM and Adreno 418 graphics processor.
Moving on to Microsoft Lumia 940 XL it is said to feature a 5.7-inch display of 1440 x 2560 pixels of resolution with pixel density of 515 PPI. The device will also come out of the box running on Windows 10 OS. Moving on to processor, it features a 64-bit Octa- Core Snapdragon 810 processor clubbed with 3GB RAM and Adreno 430 graphics processor.
Both these devices are expected to launch by November and it is said that the smartphones will be priced higher than Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S6 and Apple’s iPhone 6.
