YotaPhone is one of the most unique Smartphone model. It is rare and amazing. This phone brings you dual screen ability where one is an LCD and the other one is E-Ink display. It took a huge effort to release such kind of product in the market. Because you might be wondering what really you will do with the second screen. YotaPhone 2 is not just a device but a kind of new innovation that might bring a lot of changes in the mobile phone usage in future. That is because of its dual screen output. Here this phone covers a high resolution display on the front with a basic black and white on the rear giving you lot of productivity features.
Dual screen does not means poor battery life. The secondary screen in this model is a low power E Link display that works well for an entire day without eating up the phone battery. We will be checking out this new generation device in detail and find whether it is a worth phone to go for or not.
YotaPhone 2 model is sold internationally and it has not yet come in India. But it is a worth checking out model. This is one of the best phones that have a nicely engineered dual screen display. It does not lose the quality from any angle. The E Ink display is very helpful here for checking out lots of notifications. Compare to the back screen the front is lot more amazing. Somehow the contrast of both the screen makes this phone an amazing gadget.
Performance wise also YotaPhone 2 is a great model to go for. But things lack here is the cost. It is a very expensive model. And when it comes to competition then there are lots of budget alternative to go for. More work is needed on the camera and OS part. Let’s see in detail what this phone really offers.

Dual Display:
YotaPhone 2 is popular for its amazing dual screen. This device has a two screen among which one 5inch screen is placed on the front side. This screen gives you a good screen resolution with amazing screen output. Here you get a full 1080p output at 442ppi. The screen quality is nice and you get all the features that you look in a regular android phone. The screen is also supported by an auto-brightness option that adjusts the display light on the basis of your need.
If there is enough light around you will get a decent quality output and you can work on the same. And if there is less light then the ambient sensor will manage the screen brightness. This is not at all a battery consuming feature. Most of the screen quality is great here and sunlight reading is also amazing here. To add more benefits, Yota Phone has a secondary display which is based entire on the E-Ink technology. This size of this display is around 4.7inch where you get a max resulting of 960×540. This was lower in older model. You get mostly gray color output on the same. The max screen ppi is 235.
There around 16 different gray levels that let you to have a clear screen output. I am quite happy using this gray screen where reading text is lot more easer and battery. And this also preserver the battery as you not using the front screen much. For your multimedia needs you have to go ahead dosing the front Amoled lcd screen.
It is like having a integrated eBook reader on the back screen. And you can just enjoy smooth texting on the same also. But being not a much functional multi-touch display you won’t be able it use it for various other works. Here the back display mostly depends on the internal OS. And if that is not compatible or properly configured then the back display will not work well. I think still Yota Phone is going to take some time to get better on terms of E Ink display quality. Sometime the back display is bit annoying. Because it is on the backside and your hand is always on it. I hope there must be some option to hide the same and this also can prevent scratches on it.
Camera Quality:
To be frank YotaPhone 2 is not a camera phone. I do not think if you are expecting much on the camera part you must go for the device. This phone has a 13MP is placed on the backside offering a decent camera output with a 2.1Mp on the front side. You can take a few good pictures but the internal app is not helping. You can try using a third party app to make the photo quality lot more better Here YotaPhone 2 has a ample of nice improvements that make the device work well for camera also. But still I need a lot of improvement on the same.
Most of the things for taking good photos depend on the internal camera app which is not very effective. It has a few filters that let you to make changes in the image color. That’s it. There is nothing to talk about the internal settings mostly you can check by going in the camera app. I am quite sure that this phone would be great choice if there is an better camera support in the same. Still 13MO is not a very low here. You have a HDR mode that can let you take great photos.
The sharing options and other feature re very common here. A few filters that you will really enjoy in this phone is the photo sheer. This one let you take 360degree photos standing on a single place. So these are quiet few good things to have fun in taking photos. For low light condition you can still use the flash and take a big brighter picture.
