A story of sinking city, the city which is in the lap of a disaster called flood. The whole theme of the game is to release the people of the city from the hazardous effect that engulfed it. The game developed by Frogwares and inspired by the universe of H.P. Lovecraft. I guess now you have figured it out what I am talking about and if you are clue less now also. Let me tell you about the name of the game. It’s the Sinking City, an action-adventure mystery horror video game. The game is released today, on 27th June 2019.
As every game has some glitches and bugs, this one too has all of them. I have tried playing the game and found various bugs that needs to be looked upon. Hence, I thought of compiling a guide book that can be referenced for troubleshooting most of the issue. If you are experiencing problems while playing or installing Sinking City, then you must also try the steps given below in this guide.

The first and foremost thing that needs to be fulfilled are the minimum and recommended requirements.

There are few sites where you can check out your PC performance with the one required. It is advised to have high end PC for proper gaming and if you don’t have then please make sure that you fulfill the requirements stated here. Most of the people doesn’t pay heed to this section of the guide and then get issues later. Make sure that you fulfill the requirements stated below otherwise you will face issue such as graphic issue, animation issues etc.
Error: Unable to Install The Sinking City
If you are having issue during the installation of the game, then perform these steps-
- Make sure your system meets the requirements.
- Verify that the CD of the game is working fine and is reading properly. Sometimes the CD has got scratch marks on it that makes it difficult. Verify it closely and if there is any such issue then get a new one. Install again and test the game.
- If above is not the case with you, then check whether the iso image of the game s working. And if its not then download the new iso image from the official website of the game and install it. Note that before installing the game next time, wipe off the data from the previous installation completely otherwise you get errors.
- Alternatively, the installation might be blocking due to the antivirus software installed in the system. Antivirus such as Norton stop the new gaming software from being installed. To fix that you can turn your antivirus software during the time of installation of your game and then turn it on later. You can do the same by going into the settings of your antivirus software and turn off the toggle button.
- Sometimes the programs running in the background also hamper the installation. Make sure to stop all the unwanted programs running in the background.
The Sinking City doesn’t load:
If this is the issue you are encountering, then you should check the drivers. Drivers play a very important role. You should check the status of your driver and get them updated if they are not.You can download if from the official website or from the ones I have mentioned here.

- Download AMD ATI Card drivers
And if Microsoft DirectX is installed in your system, then check that is not corrupted. You should update it and restart the game and if that’s not helping, you visit the official website of DirectX and can troubleshoot the issue.
Turning off the UAC:
One of the reasons why your game is not loading is due to the fact that you might have turned the UAC off. UAC is user access control that forces to stop the application which encountered trust issue. You can turn off the UAC by looking into settings and then searching for UAC and there turn it off and later after the loading of game you can turn that one.
It’s always good to kill the unnecessary application running in the background for better gaming experience. Also try rebooting your System, Rebooting might also help in fixing the issue.
The Sinking City is Lagging or Freezing:
Sometimes, the game freeze so bad. Mostly the issue occurs due to improper network. You can adjust the performance issue from the settings. Lowering down the settings will fix the issue.
