Sony Xperia Z3+ is the latest edition in Xperia flagship series, which is also the Global Variant of Xperia Z4. Sony is still trying to continue the series expanding the high end series with an ultra durable quality. Still it is found that this time Sony catches more critics rather having appreciation over the changes in Xperia Z3+. The device cost around Rs.55,990/- and comes in 4 different colors. It is slimmer than the earlier devices in Z series. You can surely call it a classy model. With 6.9mm of thickness this model is one of the slimmest nice looking smartphone right now in the market.
There is also relative hardware that fulfils the necessity of app and games usage. If you closely look at the model, Sony took care more about the design this time. They had really worked hard to make the device extremely slim as well as durable also. Which means, Sony Xperia Z3+ is having waterproof unibody design. This time Sony adds IP65/IP68 rating. They have also took care of the camera quality, just like other Xperia Z devices in the series. Xperia Z3+ has a 20.7p camera supported by f/2.0 and offers ISO12800. Sony extends the device selfie section by putting a 5MP camera supported by 25mm aperture. From past few experiences Sony has tried to fix a lot of bugs in the new series.

Design and Packaging:
Sony Xperia Z3+ looks very much similar like its old series. But as we had already seen, it is slimmer compared to the previous model. The design is impressive and classy. I am always a fan of Sony look. The device comes with a metallic farm, slim and durable. The thickness of this model is just around 6.9mm that is seriously slim.
As usual the body has cover over the ports that protect the phone from water and dust. The body also has shock resistant caps at the side corner in the form of curved edges. With this the body also consists of Corning Gorilla Glass protection over the front and back.In this new model the Sim card and SD Card slot are on the left and has cap on it. Sony Xperia Z3+ supports Nano SIM.
At the right you will see the power and volume button. Also towards down it has a dedicated camera key. Audio jack is on the top and a Micro USB port is at the bottom side. The devices with Waterproof and dust tight (IP65 and IP68) certification.
Screen Quality:
Sony Xperia Z3+ has a 5.2inch full HD display. Sony always uses TRILUMINOS and X-Reality in the screen that brings exceptional quality with portable size. The screen provides a max resolution of 1920×1080 with TRILUMINOS 700cd brightness. X-Reality engine is Sony’s proprietary technology that improves the screen quality and filled it with wow factor.
The screen is amazing with nice touch quality. Operating the phone is relatively simple due to the customer UI in it. The screen somehow standout tall in comparison to other high end model in the market. Image appears is clear and crisp.
Hardware & Performance:
It is very common to have a Quad Core processor power today. To extend the phone to a much higher rate, Sony Xperia Z3+ is loaded with Octa Core processor. This CPU is based on Snapdragon 810 SoC chipset.3GB RAM helps the phone to work well in multi-tasking. The device also has an Adreno 430 graphic processor for HD gaming. The overall output is amazing here.
Apps works smooth and do not lag or freeze at any point. But one issue that many are facing in the entire Xperia series is Overheating. I do not think it would be easy for Sony to resolve that. This phone heats a lot when you play games on it or take HD quality pictures. For storage the device has 32GB internal memory and is also expandable.
Camera Quality:
No doubt that Sony really has a huge plus point when it comes to mobile camera. The entire Xperia series has as satisfying camera quality and the same goes to Sony Xperia Z3+. The device continues with 20.7MP Exmor RS Sensor. This camera offer amazing picture quality.
The selfie section has also some upgrades. Front camera is 5MP with f/2.4 aperture. The camera interface and other settings are exactly the same as it was before in the older model. Camera quality is nice. Sony does not change the location of camera. It remains on the left top side. As far as Video Recording is concerned, well you can record amazing 4K Videos.
Battery Backup:
Being a high end big size phone and loaded with extreme hardware, the battery life is degraded always. Sony Xperia Z3+ has a 2930mAH battery. As per the new specification of this model, Sony has done something in it. They promise that this device can provide you up to 2 days of battery life.
But this is only possible if you turn on internal power saving mode. This time Sony is right. Sony Xperia Z3+ has a good battery output. And it also charges very fast.
Conclusion:
There is a point where buyer is looking for a high end model and money does not matter. But after buying users commonly face issue with battery, performance and durability. Sony Xperia Z3+ is an answer for this. It can give you an overall satisfaction that you are not wrong about paying such a high price.
At some point many of us really feel that Sony has just overpriced the model. But if you can wait, I am quite sure that there might be 10 to 15% of price drop in coming months. The phone is launched for Rs.51,990 and will maintain the price for some time.
Pros:
- Slimmer Design
- Amazing Camera features
Cons:
- Very similar to Xperia Z3
- Many pre-installed apps
