I am very impressed by the Assassin’s Creed III Remastered and personally played it for a long time. What I have found is that there are various issues which are making the gaming session a bit lethargic. The smoother gaming session is, the more attention grabbing it becomes.
So, I thought of why not compiling a guide that will provide the bunch of error and their solution which will help the gamers to play well and definitely reduce the inconvenience faced.

Unable to install Assassin’s Creed 3 Remastered:-
The first issue that you will encounter will be installation of the game. There are many cases when you are not able to even install the game and would end up losing peace in the beginning only.
Don’t worry, we will provide you steps which will help you in installation of the game.
- What usually I have seen is that the anti-virus present in the system blocks the gaming software from installation. Antivirus software’s such as Norton, they have this ability to block the unknown software which is trying to be installed in the system. In order to avoid this situation, you can perform the steps which includes going to settings, further going to antivirus software which is installed in your system and then further turning the software off till the time you are installing the game.
- If the above steps don’t work, then you have to check whether the DVD of the game is working or not. Check that it shouldn’t have scratches on it. And also clean the dirt on the DVD. If the DVD has some scratches, then get new one and reinstall the game.
- If you have downloaded the file, then check the iso image of the game. Maybe possible that it is corrupted. If so, then you have to replace the file by downloading the iso image from the official site of the game and then re-install the game and try again.

Driver are very crucial because if they are working then you will not face major issues during the game. If you are facing this issue where you game is crashing again and again then check your drivers. Start checking with video driver and then further go to audio drivers and so on. You can check if they are all placed in the correct folders and please download them if corrupt from the official sites only. Download Nvidia Card drivers / Download AMD ATI Card drivers.

Turning of UAC.
All the windows system has this feature where it blocks the new system from installation if the source of the product is unknown. The feature blocks the apps from installation if there are any trust issues with them. You can turn this feature off until you install your game and you can do that by performing the steps below-
- Go to search button and search for UAC.
- Click on UAC and then drag the slider to the down.
- Restart the PC and try installing the game again.
Assassin’s Creed 3 Remastered Lagging, Freezing and FPS Drop Issues:
These are the issue that can be quite irritating sometimes. These issues occur when the mouse lags you are you not able to see the characters properly. You can reduce the lag by performing the steps given below: –
- Start the Nvidia Control Panel and go to Manage 3d settings.
- Go to program setting and look for power management.

- Turing the Vsync and Antialiasing will also work. You can turn that off from the graphic card control panel. Turn off triple buffering that will also work.

Mouse Lags in Assassin’s Creed 3 Remastered-
This is the error which occur when you are not able to see the characters on the screen. You can fix this issue by doing the steps given below –
Go to video control panel and the set the maximum frame value as two.
Assassin’s Creed 3 Remastered Disk read error:
Disk error occurwhen the disk of the game has some issue. You need to clean the disk, check if doesn’t have scratched on it. If it has, then get another disk for the game.
Assassin’s Creed 3 Remastered Black Screen Problem:
This problem occurs when the voice from the game is coming but the voice is not coming. This issue occurs due to ineffective video drivers. Fixing the video driver will help you getting rid from this problem.
- First of all, update the video driver, going further to update motherboard driver. You can download them from the official websites.
- Turn off Vsync, anti-aliasing and filtering. Try running the game by lowering their settings.
- Turn off the antivirus software if it is present in computer.
- Remove the unwanted process which is consuming high resources.
No Audio in Assassin’s Creed 3 Remastered:
This is directly related to DXDiag. You can fix this by performing the steps below-
Click on sound by going to DirectX windows.
You have to lower the sound acceleration which will end up fixing the issue.
Download the audio driver from the official site and further go ahead with motherboard drivers. Download them and test them.
Also check the communication tab of sound option from the control panel, whether everything is working fine there or not.
Assassin’s Creed 3 Remastered : Unable to save game on stream
Stream issue is issue where the player is not able to play the game smoothly. The game is streaming very roughly which becomes pain when playing the game. You can fix this issue by troubleshooting the issue by performing the steps given below:
- Exit the game and restart the PC again.
- Check the game file. Check if you are working fine and are not corrupt. Validate the location of the files.
- Login to the account and then go to library section. Choose the game folder and then go to local file tab
- You can also check the integrity of the game cache.
